Learn how to use glamour plates in Final Fantasy XIV!
Important: Before getting started, you must be at least level 15 and have completed the quest, “If I Had a Glamour,” to unlock glamours.
Retire to a room at the inn of your choice.
- Activate the Glamour Dresser (pink).
- Note: The Armoire can store seasonal clothing items (red).

Add items to the Glamour Dresser by clicking the item in the list on the right (pink).
- Adding an item to the dresser will consume a Glamour Prism.
- Select Edit Glamour Plates when finished adding items to the dresser (red).

You have 20 total Glamour Plates that can each hold a set of glamours (pink).
- Choose plate number 1 if it is not selected.
- Select the chest piece space, and then choose an item to use as its glamour (red).
- Notice how I used the Serge Gambison of Aiming that I added to the Glamour Dresser previously.

You can also dye items here to change their color.

However, it is more economical to dye items within the Glamour Dresser itself, as that will make them already dyed when added to any plate.

Continue to add items to the plate to create your unique glamour.
- Click the Save button at the bottom when finished to save the plate in its current state (pink).
- Click the Apply button to apply the current glamour to your active gearset (red).

Now, any time you’re in a place of sanctuary near an aetheryte, and see the moon icon (pink), then you can apply glamours at will without consuming glamour prisms.

You can do this by clicking the Glamour Plate button within the character panel (pink).

Then choosing the glamour plate you want to use and clicking Apply (pink).

There you have it! You’re now using glamour plates in FFXIV!
